Project Brief:

The adaptive transformation of an expansive warehouse and film studio, notable for its previous role as a filming location for β€œThe Office,” presents a unique design challenge due to the immense scale of the structure and the need to optimize natural lighting within. In response to this, our approach focused on seamlessly integrating the external environment with the interior spaces.

A prominent highlight of the La Cienega project is the captivating lush courtyard garden, an open-to-sky oasis that infuses natural beauty into the heart of the structure. To enhance illumination within the facility, we introduced a distinctive sawtooth roof featuring clerestory windows and skylights. These additions strategically harness natural light, creating a more vibrant and inviting interior ambiance.

Furthermore, our design integrated a new second story within the building, boasting generous ceiling heights. This addition not only enhances the functionality of the space but also adds substantial value for our discerning client.
